Mass shootings

I just saw something that I consider really stupid on Facebook. It listed the mass shootings so far this year and made the comment we don't have to live like that. Really? And just what in the hell are normal people supposed to do to protect themselves? As long as people are allowed to carry a gun and use it to kill innocent people I don't see what the rest of us are going to do about it. It isn't safe to send kids to school or even go to the grocery store anymore. This is just plain sick!
