March On

Tomorrow is March 1st and a really good day to march on. For the last couple of years I have been working on a manuscript to be submitted to Amazon as a Kindle book. It sat for awhile and I just discovered why. There were a couple of short articles that needed to be included. Neither one had ever been published. The manuscript had been sent to a friend to check for typos. It was then passed on to a couple of this person's work mates, who had begged to read it. My friend's reaction to the manuscript was one word, fantastic! Since I have now added the short articles that were missing I think it is now time to get it published. It will join three other Kindle books previously published.

The name of the new book is "Adventures of a Chosen Messenger" and it is now 34 pages. If I had not written the book myself I would be very impressed! Look for it on the Amazon web site soon.

Choices

This morning's jaunt into town turned out to be an interesting trip. First I had my six month appointment with Livingston Hearing Aid to clean and up date. As I walked in I asked if they required masks. The answer was no so I took a seat. Next I stopped off at Family Dollar to pick up a couple of things. There were no signs, but I noticed that employees and customers were wearing masks. I put mine on as I shopped. Then I stopped by Smiths to pick up what was on my shopping list. I already knew the employees still wore masks but customers were no longer required to do so, so I didn't.

I suppose choices are a good thing, but it would be nice if we all made the same one!

A sheep

Four days after the mask mandate was dropped I ventured out to the grocery store. I decided not to wear a mask to see how it felt. It felt weird, like I was doing something wrong. As I entered the store I noticed that most of the employees were still wearing masks.I stopped to have a brief conversation with one at the door. I actually told her that I felt it was too early. She agreed and said we would probably go back to wearing them in a couple of weeks. She was probably right.

Interesting change

Our Governor just dumped the mask mandate for New Mexico. It does make me wonder if it is too early. It also makes me wonder if it has anything to do with her re-election? I haven't been to the grocery store yet, but it will be interesting to see how many customers and employees still chose to wear a mask. I tend to think it should be left up to the individual. I have had both shots and the booster and really have no intention of getting a second booster. At some point people need to have a little faith.

Happy birthday Ejay

Ejay is a rescue dog that I got from our local shelter in December 2012. The vet said he was 10 months old, which made him born in February. I gave him Valentines Day as his birthday! So today he is 10 years old. Happy birthday Ejay!

Just do it!

It has been 23 years since I stopped smoking. Who says hypnosis doesn't work?!
