Thinking

It has been a week since I have posted on this blog and I am thinking perhaps it is time to just let it go. It has been forever since anyone has posted a reply, even though I can see that people are reading what I have written. You may or may not hear from me again. I think I began this blog in 2009. That's a lot of words and I think it is time to let it go.

Hi there mercury

The first day of mercury retrograde was interesting. As I checked my online bank account I notices a charge from a Walgreens in Alabama on my account. What the hell is this? I called Wells Fargo and reported what I thought was a fraudulent charge. After a lengthy phone call with someone I couldn't even understand I hung up. I was told the bank would put a block on my debit card and it would be 5-7 days before I got a new one. I almost never use cash but use my debt card all the time. After I hung up I realized the charge was not a fraud, even though I didn't authorize it. It was for a recurring program that I never understood in the first place. I called Wells Fargo back and got a man who I easily understood. I explained the problem and he unblocked my card. Thank you very much! I still need to stop by Walgreens and see if I can get the charge removed from my account.

The lost is found

For the last five days my key ring has been missing. I thought I had looked everywhere. I knew they had to be somewhere between the garage and the inside of my house. Fortunately I had a second car key, but not the house keys. My son had copies made of those, but I was not comfortable having only one car key. I put off having one made because I knew those keys had to be somewhere. A friend with unusual vision had given me some hints, but we both thought they were somewhere in my car. Wrong!

By this morning I had really given up. In frustration I asked the universe to please tell me where the keys were. A little while later I moved my purse, sitting on top of a large book on the bottom of a rack next to my computer. Guess what? The key ring was dangling from the bottom of the rack. They had apparently fallen out of my purse.

Sitting at my desk looking at all these keys I thought, How can I avoid this happening again. I put the extra car key back in my wallet and added one of the house keys. I keep the extra car key there because I once locked the keys in my car. I also add an extra house key to my wallet. The rest of the house keys were stashed in a hiding place in the garage so I would never be locked out of my house.

Problem solved and the lost is found!

Handicapped?

I got a surprise when I stopped by the DMV to get my driver's license renewed. In the process,I was given a handicap form. I asked, what is this for? The girl said it was on my record. I replied, " I don't think so". She then asked if I had ever had one. Then I remembered I did have one for awhile when I had my hip replacement six years ago. She said, "Well now you get a permanent one." I said, "I didn't know I was handicapped!" I decided, what the heck, it just might come in handy one of these days.

Another good thing about being my age is I no longer have to pay for a license!

A New Day

Finally we got the holidays and the first weekend of the year over with. Now to get on with the real world. My first job is to pay some bills and stop by the grocery store. It doesn't appear anything in the new year has changed. We still have a little left over snow on the ground.Just a reminder of what could have happened- missed us again! When I see all the bad weather and fires all around us I wonder if anyone even knows Grants,NM is here. It is sad that the town is slowly dying, partly because people are moving out. Is that really very smart people? It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days and years. Looking back I see that that all three of my children, born other places, all graduated from Grants High School. They left their marks in 1979, 1984 and 1997. Here's to you 2022- bring it on!
