Real dreams

Recently I read something that said that dreams can be real. Of course I thought, oh right, until this morning. I woke after having a dream that seemed so real, featuring someone who had died and I considered a soulmate. He appeared in my dream and it seemed so real. I wonder if it really was? I was recently given a memory of a past life when this man was my father. My mother had died in childbirth. We moved to a mountain somewhere. Later we both died in an avalanche. I don't expect to ever see him again in this life, but I don't know about the future. Perhaps he just stopped by to say hello?
